An unforgettable adventure for the whole family: hiking with children

An unforgettable holiday with children means adventure, fun and excitement! There is no place for boredom, only variety for all age groups. With this in mind, Meraner Land and Schenna offer a wealth of leisure activities that cater for every taste.

With the great variety of sports and activities, there is certainly no lack of entertainment. Whether it's a family hike, a bike trip to the neighbouring villages or a walk along the irrigation channels – there is no shortage of fun experiences to be had. For children who are interested in history and nature, there are castle tours, such as the nearby Tyrol Castle. The Trauttmansdorff gardens are also a must and ideal for exploring. And then there are the thrilling Fragsburg Waterfalls. At a height of 135 metres these are the highest waterfalls in South Tyrol and will enchant little adventurers.

The Schenna Tourist Office has also put together an exciting programme for the holiday season, with a wide variety of experiences. There are activities for every age group. Smaller children can take part in guided themed hikes, while older children can follow in the footsteps of Ötzi in the Archeoparc in Schnalstal or experience an exciting rafting tour on the Passer or Etsch rivers. If you are travelling with a baby, it is good to have an all-terrain pram. This allows you to explore many of the beautiful hiking trails without much effort and even enjoy breathtaking panoramic routes at higher altitudes.
